Still sick, but had two nice surprises today

Alright, I feel much better today.
Not that I’m fully recovered yet, but there were a few nice surprises that brought a smile back on my face.
First, my beloved hubby got me (well, *us*!) five red restaurant mugs with a Christmas-like decoration on the border. I fell in love!
There are more restaurant supplies coffee mugs that I’d like to buy – when I can use some spare cash – but for the moment I’m good with hubby’s gifts.
Second surprise – Janine bought two adorable rocking horse ornaments, one for herself, one for her mom. ♥ How sweet! I put mine on the bedside table, next to my alarm clock. It’s lovely, I enjoy staring at it a little before bedtime. It’s a sort of relaxing thing, especially when I’m sick.
I feel better overall, but doctor said I should stay in bed at least another two days to avoid a relapse. Wouldn’t be good.
Getting All the Games

Thanks for the guest post by Donn Schroeder
After football season ended this year I decided I needed to get NFL Sunday Ticket. I am so sick of not being able to watch every game, and I vowed that next season I would have access to everything I wanted. I am a New Work Giants fan, but I live in California, so I was only able to watch about half of the games. It drove me absolutely insane since I am not the type who wants to go to a bar every Sunday to watch the game. Some days it’s nice to stay at your own house and relax without dealing with the rowdy fans. I thought I was going to have to splurge on a package to get all the games, but when I went to www.direct.tv I realized that wasn’t the case. I can’t wait for next season to roll around so that I can have big parties and we can watch all of the games. I know my wife will probably be a little mad at first, but she’ll get used to it. I’ll promise to keep everything clean so she won’t have to work too hard.
Influenza

I hate it.
It drains the energies from your poor body and leaves you with nothing but an immense need to sleep.
Sleep, sleep, sleep. And some TV, perhaps.
What an unproductive way to live!
I have three kids, a husband, a house and a few blogs to look after. Can I afford a week long of influenza? Not really.
Hubby’s being so sweet with me, but I really feel like a useless piece of furniture now.
I want my health back.
